YouTube’s Top 10 Super Bowl 50 Ads: Hyundai Proved It Was The Brand To Beat


If you’re going by YouTube video views, Hyundai was the Super Bowl brand to beat last night, with the car maker taking three of the top ten spots on YouTube’s list the of most-watched Super Bowl 50 ads.

Promoting Hyundai’s 2017 Elantra, the car maker’s “The Chase” Super Bowl ad ranked No. 1, followed by its “First Date” spot featuring Kevin Hart at No. 4, and “Ryanville” starring Ryan Reynolds not far behind at No. 6.

According to Google, nearly four million hours were spent watching Super Bowl 50 ads on YouTube, with 300,000 hours of Super Bowl ads and teasers watched just during last night’s game.

Google says Super Bowl ads and teaser ads have been viewed more than 330 million times — and for the first time ever, more of those ads were viewed on mobile devices.

Along with Hyundai, Doritos also fared well on YouTube, with two of its #CrashTheSuperBowl campaign ads making it into the top ten.

While Doritos’ “Ultrasound” spot ranked near the bottom, the ad generated the most social shares across Facebook, according to video metrics firm Unruly.
