Originally released in November 2012, the Union Metrics Tumblr
analytics tool has been updated with two new features. Starting today, users can track their blog followers, as well as integrate Google Analytics into the Tumblr analytics dashboard, accessing their blog’s web traffic metrics alongside content engagement performance.
According to the announcement, the new features, “…complement existing detailed interaction and influencer analytics coupled with competitor blog and keyword tracking.”
Union Metrics is also rolling out a new tier to their paid subscription plans, along with offering its first ever free accounts. The new paid subscription is a low-cost option designed for professional bloggers and small businesses, and allows users to monitor up to three Tumblr blogs.
The free Tumblr analytics accounts include follower count tracking, identification of curators and influencers, performance metrics on individual posts, and ongoing analysis of blog tags and post types. Free users will also have access to Union Metrics reblog tree report, a visual graph representing the spread of reblogs.
Tumblr’s product VP Derek Gottfrid commented on the updates from Union Metrics, saying, “From large brands to individual bloggers, we’ve seen a huge desire to be able to measure interaction with their content and this newest version of their offering will allow users to do just that.”
Along with the new features, Union Metrics Tumblr analytics comes with a number of interactive reports that can be exported and include full data archives.
Correction: The original publication of this article incorrectly stated that Tumblr data could be integrated into Google Analytics. A Union Metrics spokesperson clarified the error, explaining that Google Analytics can now be integrated into the Union Metrics Tumblr analytics dashboard.
