The social media analytics service formerly known as Twtrland has rebranded as Klear, and has also announced a $1.5 million funding round to continue its expansion.
When it launched as Twtrland in 2012, the service only offered users data related to Twitter activity. It’s now expanded the platform to include Facebook and Instagram, justifying the name change. In a blog post, Founder/CEO Eytan Avigdor explains the logic behind the new name:
The wealth of information that is out there today is invaluable, though indigestible. And while many tools provide complex graphs and endless information, we work day and night so that you won’t have to. We are on a mission to bring you clear data, rather than lots of data.
Klear offers basic social analytics for individuals at no charge, and more full-featured business plans range from $99 to $599 per month. The company website lists Microsoft, Nike and IMG among its client base.
Klear says the new funding will be used to expand its sales and marketing teams.
