It’s not yet Black Friday, but this week’s Marketing Land Online Retail Sales Report shows conversions up 6 percentage points over last week and traffic to e-commerce sites up 24 percentage points week over week, indicating that shoppers are jumping on some of the early deals offered by retailers.

The report is based on data from HookLogic, a company which gathers data on online retail transactions through the advertising network it runs, allowing brands to run ads on major retailer websites.

As compared to the benchmark period, the month beginning September 29, traffic is up an astounding, but not surprising, 85 percentage points. Meanwhile, the conversion rate is up 25 percentage points over the same benchmark period.

HookLogic notes that traffic was especially high on Saturday and Sunday, as consumers performed research in advance of holiday gift purchases.
