Yelp Rolls Out Improved iPhone App, Other Mobile Changes

In recognition that Yelp’s traffic is increasingly mobile, the company is paying more and more attention to its mobile assets. Yelp is now rolling out an iPhone update that overhauls the business listing page. It offers a cleaner, more user-friendly experience.

Below are “before” and “after” screenshots. The new profile page (second below) offers a stronger and visually simpler look, with key features and content made more readily accessible. By comparison the old profile page design looks like something of a mess.

Another very nice feature, you can pull down the page to access photos of the business.

The company is also adding some new features to its iPad app and improving its mobile website. In the latter case you’ll now be able to log in, create tips and access bookmarks.
