Wojcicki Says 50% Of YouTube’s Traffic Now Coming From Mobile Phones & Tablets

During this week’s Code/Mobile Conference in Half Moon Bay, California, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki confirmed half of YouTube’s traffic was coming from mobile phone and tablet devices.

Recode.net reported on Wojcicki’s Code/Mobile presentation, noting her comments on the importance of mobile, along with remarks that YouTube is exploring a new ad-free subscription service.

Mobile is super important. I think it’s important for every business right now.

According to YouTube’s stats, the site currently has more than one billion unique visitors per month, with 80 percent of its traffic from outside the U.S.
