Facebook is clamping down … again … on clickbait. The company announced recently that it’ll begin to target specific words and phrases that are commonly used to bring attention to specific articles that don’t deliver what the headline promises. That was the main topic in the latest episode of our weekly video show/podcast, Marketing Land Live.
We also discussed Instagram’s blatant copying of Snapchat Stories and how it’ll impact usage of both services, and a recent study showing that many publishers are doing a poor job of identifying native advertising.
Marketing Land’s Barry Levine, Tim Peterson and Danny Sullivan joined me for the 49-minute show. You can watch the replay below, and be sure to scroll below the video for this week’s Show Notes, with links to the stories we talked about.
If you’d prefer an audio version of our weekly show, it’s now available as a podcast on both iTunes and Google Play Podcasts.
