Yahoo’s been sinking for a while now, and things are coming to a head with the news last week that the company accepted bids from potential buyers. What will happen to Yahoo as a whole, and what about its well-known products like Flickr and Yahoo Mail? What will Marissa Mayer’s legacy be? Those are some of the questions we talked about in the latest episode of our weekly video show, Marketing Land Live.
We also discussed Facebook’s latest tweak to its News Feed, as well as a recent study on how much small businesses typically spend each month on Facebook promotion. (Hint: not much.) And we looked back on 20 years of search engine reporting from Marketing Land’s Founding Editor, Danny Sullivan. Additional staffers on the show were Ginny Marvin, Greg Sterling and myself.
The show runs about 65 minutes and you can watch the replay below. Be sure to scroll below the video for this week’s Show Notes, with links to the stories we talked about.
We record new episodes of Marketing Land Live every Friday at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. PT on Blab, so we hope you’ll make plans to join us live in the future.
