Twitter Updates Its Mobile Site For Consistency Across Platforms


Twitter users with older mobile browsers and feature phones will have an experience that’s more like what smartphone and Twitter.com users are familiar with.

The company has overhauled mobile.twitter.com with a new look and feel that’s in line with other Twitter experiences — no matter if the user is on a small, 240×240 screen or something much larger. The end result, Twitter says, is an entirely new and faster mobile site. The new mobile site, from a coding perspective, is up to 63 percent smaller than before.

Just yesterday, Twitter announced its new smartphone app. The company has said that 60 percent of its users access Twitter via mobile devices.
