Working with Grey New York, The National Park Service has partnered with Joseph Gordon Levitt’s collaborative online production company hitRECord and its community or artists to promote the organization’s Find Your Park effort.

The Find Your Park campaign, hashtagged #FindYourPark, urges Americans to explore 407 national parks as the National Park Service celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2016. The campaign includes a collection of programs, exhibits, events, promotions and public activities throughout 2015 and 2016 that will encourage everyone to find a national park that’s special to them.

The partnership with hitRECord, which launched April 15, encourages members to share their original ideas about what a national park means to them and can mean to others. Shares and submissions of writing, photography, videos and more are taking place on the hitRECord project site where, as of April 21, 1171 different contributions have been made.

Those original ideas can then be built upon by other members which, ultimately, will result in the selection of 15 ideas which will be developed into larger creative projects including films, music videos, comedy productions, illustrations and animations.

Of the partnership, Gordon-Levitt said:

“I grew up going camping with my family in  Yosemite National Park . It’s a beautiful place, and if it weren’t for the National Park Service it may not be what it is todayI’m honored to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime Find Your Park movement, connecting the hitRECord community with our parks.”

Gordon-Levitt is promoting the partnership on his Twitter and Facebook pages:
