Need help figuring out what to share next? Hootsuite has created an app for that.

Hootsuite, the popular social media management platform, today introduced Suggestions, an iOS app that serves up a curated selection of content to publish on Facebook and Twitter. The feature, also available on the web version of the Hootsuite dashboard, is similar to tools offered by Buffer and Klout. The tools are designed to help social media professionals quickly find relevant articles to share with their followers.

“The ability to share quality content with followers is critical to social success,” Hootsuite CEO Ryan Holmes said in a release. “Customers often tell us that they want to share more on social, but that it’s too time-consuming. Suggestions for mobile allows people to easily find and share content wherever they are and when it’s most convenient for them.”

The Hootsuite app, available today in the Apple store, pulls in content from three customizable topics and gives users the ability to publish to Twitter accounts, and Facebook profiles and Pages.

Swiping right on a suggested story immediately sends a tweet, Facebook post or both. Swiping left queues the update up for later posting (based on Hootsuite’s scheduling algorithm). Taping once loads the story for reading within the app; pressing and holding on an item pulls up the text of the social post for editing and gives users the option to post immediately or later.

Suggestions is free to download and use, but users are limited to 10 updates a week from within the app unless they purchase the $4.99 monthly plan that allows for unlimited sharing.
