Fashion merchandiser Patricia was one of the Holiday Inn guests photographed for the campaign.
Holiday Inn is out with an inspirational campaign that highlights the incredible achievements of those who have been dealt setbacks in life and of others who have taken extraordinary journeys through life. One such story introduces us to Scott Rigsby, who lost his lower legs when he was 18. He was told he would never walk again.
As part of Holiday Inn’s Journey to Extraordinary, we learn how Scott’s determination not only led to his walking again but to his becoming the first double amputee ever to finish the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii.
The video explains that Scott stayed in the Holiday Inn Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla., near where his prosthetic limbs were being made, during many many weeks of rehabilitation. The brand message focuses on Holiday Inn’s employees, who Scott credits with helping him during this difficult time in his life.
The digital-focused campaign is centrally housed on a Tumblr site on which many other extraordinary stories of seemingly super-human achievement can be found and shared. The brand teamed with Tumblr and two of the platform’s well known photographers, Chris Ozer and Scott Borrero, to capture the amazing journeys of Holiday Inn guests.
New content will be rolling out starting now through November 2014, with stories added weekly across the Holiday Inn brand’s various digital platforms including Tumblr, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
