It’s always awkward talking about certain bodily functions in advertising which is why the subject of incontinence or “urine leakage” is often dealt with using humor. And that’s just what AMV BBDO did for TENA Men, a maker of products designed to deal with just this problem.
The agency created a character called Stirling Gravitas, a man who’s got everything and is in control of it all… except a tiny little urine leakage problem.
Gravitas is introduced in a YouTube video in which he touts his control over his masseuse, his pool table, blackjack, chess, his pet lion, the laws of physics and all kinds of other crazy stuff.
Through a series of videos, Stirling will show how he stays in control of his life as well as offer lifestyle tips, hints and exercises to control urine leakage.
The campaign also includes a Twitter account where Gravitas will offer “exclusive insight into his well-maintained life and provide musings, advice and worldly observations from a man of a certain age” using the hashtag #KeepControl.
