ew action tracking for Facebook Ads will be arriving in the coming weeks. Simply put, tracking your Facebook ad dollars within the Facebook eco-system will get a whole lot easier. A wider variety of actions that occur on Facebook itself will now be track-able. Users will now be able to optimize ads to the following actions:
Page Likes
Comments
Shares on specific Page posts
Credits Spent
App Use
The new ad dashboard will show a pie chart with all actions taken from ads:
A Facebook spokesperson stated the following about the new Action Measurement program:
“This new feature was the result of the requests from marketers wanting to see what valuable actions their paid efforts influenced. The Ads Manager will now offer the ability to measure a much wider range of actions resulting from Facebook ad campaigns, including measuring how paid campaigns performed based on their specific goals such as Page Likes, Comments or Shares on specific Page posts, Credits Spent, and App Use. For example, a concert venue with a ticket app on their Page could measure how many people used the app to buy tickets after seeing ads for the app on Facebook.”
Look for these change coming to your ad dashboard in the following weeks.
