As part of its ongoing “Change Your Apartment. Change the World.” campaign, Apartments.com has launched a sweepstakes in which they are giving away free rent to 13 lucky winners. Twelve winners will receive free rent for a year, and one lucky winner will receive free rent for life.
To enter the sweepstakes, renters must submit a review of their apartment property between July 20 and October 12. A social share via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or email will get you an additional entry.
Each Monday, beginning on July 27, Apartments.com will select one reviewer at random who will be awarded free rent for a year. The winner of free rent for life will be chosen at the end of the sweepstakes; to be eligible to win this grand prize, the renter’s review must be marked as “helpful” by another user.
The campaign is supported by videos featuring actor Jeff Goldblum as “Brad Bellflower,” an eccentric Silicon Valley visionary. Goldblum has been serving as a spokesperson in this persona since the “Change Your Apartment. Change the World.” campaign launched back in early March.
Collectively, on YouTube and Facebook, the videos have accumulated approximately 25,000 views since launch.

The videos will also run as TV spots during prime time and cable as well as on Hulu and NBC’s online portal. On July 23, a homepage takeover will appear on Wired.com as well as a roadblock on CNN.com. Digital will be extended to display, pre-roll and rich media units as well as on social platforms. Local market radio is also planned.
Apartments.com is also promoting the sweepstakes on Twitter:
