Amazon Webstore sellers that are still going through migrations to a new platform just got a new deadline.
Last March, Amazon announced it would be shuttering the Webstore e-commerce platform effective July 1, 2016. However, sellers were notified Thursday in an email from the company that order processing on Webstore properties would cease on May 1, 2016, bumping up the deadline to migrate to another service by 60 days.
Sellers will still be able to manage returns and refunds on Webstore up until July 1, but without being able to accept orders, a site is essentially out of business.
The announcement will likely have the biggest impact on those sellers that are in the midst of transitioning to platforms other than Shopify, with which Amazon established a direct migration.
