Want to keep an eye on your competition’s social media activity? And need to do it while you are away from your desk?
Unmetric can help with that. Today, the social media intelligence company announced the launch of “Sense,” a mobile app that enables marketers to monitor their competitors’ social output from mobile devices.
Unmetric provides social media intelligence for more than 200 global brands, including Toyota, American Airlines and Lowe’s, with a platform that benchmarks their social efforts against competing brands.
Sense is a separate product with similar features. Users of the app can select competitors they want to monitor from among Unmetric’s database of more than 35,000 brands in 25 industry sectors. Sense displays a stream of image-based, auto-captioned content from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (YouTube will be added in the coming months). Individual posts can be tapped to view full text and engagement metrics. Posts can also be bookmarked and emailed from within the app.
Unmetric CEO Lux Narayan said Sense fills a unique niche.
“Customers and competitors are the two things every marketer constantly thinks about,” Narayan said in a release. “While there are market research and applications like Survey Monkey for customer intel, there is nothing simple for competitive intelligence. We created Sense to fill this unmet need and to be the easiest way for any marketer — from digital strategists to CMOs — to stay abreast of competition any time, anywhere.”
Sense is available today for Unmetric clients with Pro, Pro+, Premium and Agency accounts, which start at $490 a month, via special invite. Unmetric plans to make the the app available to the public at a later date.
