Twitter has shared stats saying that the volume of tweets during tonight’s 2013 State Of The Union address by President Barack Obama was almost double that of 2012.

The chart shows top moments this year as follows:
24,000 TPM: happened at 9:52pm ET, in response to middle class opportunities & minimum wage
23,700 TPM: happened at 1012pm ET, in response to gun control legislation
19,000 TPM: when Obama said “Let’s give our kids that change” about education changes
Last year’s peak moment was Obama’s “spilled milk” joke with 14,100 TPM.
Also, Senator Marco Rubio sipping from a bottle of water during his response was noteworthy as the top post-speech moment, pulling 9,200 TPM.
Twitter has also posted the stats on its blog along with a few other notable tweets, such as Rubio poking fun at his own sip of water:
