In the midst of the Juno ‘Blizzard’ last night both Facebook and Instagram both went down for about an hour. The hacking group the Lizard Squad quickly jumped to take credit for the outages on Twitter (quite ironically):

Though this amphibious association took credit, a Facebook rep denied the report to the WSJ. Users and brands have no need to fear as according to the Facebook spokesperson, this was the result occurred “after we introduced a change that affected our configuration systems.” The problem was quickly fixed according to the Facebook with both services back 100% for all.
