This week, Robert and I report live from Content Marketing World 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio. Joining us are three special guests, who help us announce our new CMI Podcast Network: Pamela Muldoon, who will head up this new initiative, as well as contribute a podcast; plus Todd Wheatland and Andrew Davis, two of the five content marketing rock stars who have joined the Network. This podcast will also be incorporated into the network.

2. Guest speakers

  1. Pamela Muldoon (3:00): Pamela has been hired as the Director of our new CMI Podcast Network. During our chat, she discusses some of our goals for this initiative, as well as our goal of launching her podcast, as well as shows from four other podcasters (Todd Wheatland, Andrew Davis, Heather Meza and Tim Washer) — by the end of 2014. To kick things off right, Pamela will move her successful Content Marketing 360 podcast over to CMI’s network, where it will be rechristened as Content Marketing Next. In addition, our weekly This Old Marketing podcast will also find its home on the CMI Podcast Network.

  2. Todd Wheatland (9:47): Todd is another content marketing expert who has joined our podcasting ranks. He joins our conversation with a reflection on his experience of moving from marketing a brand to working for an agency, King Content. Todd sees a great number of similarities among the tools and strategies used for B2B and B2C marketing. He also talks about how he’s seen content marketing evolve over the past four years.

  3. Andrew Davis (21:43): Andrew is the author of Brandscaping: Unleashing the Power of Partnerships. He, too, shares his perspectives on what the biggest changes have been to the content marketing landscape, and offers some of his insights on one of its latest trends: native advertising. His CMI podcast will be called Claim Your Fame, and is aimed at helping small businesses understand how to take their passion and personality and turn it into revenue through content marketing. Andrew also plans to share the stories of entrepreneurs who have succeeded in the monetization mission — and the critical lessons that other content marketers can learn from them.
