A slick new tool has been released to help users navigate the treacherous waters of Reddit. The simple looking social site has long been notorious for confusing visitors and being too streamlined. A new tool, Reddit Insight, has been created by Hack Reactor that helps visualize and analyze Reddit accounts, posts, keywords and subreddits.
Users can breakdown their specific profile data by entering in a username, or expound upon a post. The details provided show where users gained Karma and when articles received votes. The data is formatted using sleek charts that provide info when a user hovers over.
Additional insight tabs allow users to gather more information about the site and specific subreddits. Word clouds and Topic clusters (shown below) are impressively displayed helping to summarize what content resides in each section. If you don’t get sea-sick easily, a fascinating “All The Clusters” visual displays everything that is being talked about at the moment.
Additional stats show just how users react to specific comments. Commenting is broken down by subreddit (most comments per post, and average karma pr post) as well. If of the more eye-appealing chars was the relationship between controversy (a Reddit metric,) Interactions and total karma per subreddit. This displays data showing that on average the more controversial the post, the more overall interaction.
The tool is free to use, for more information test out Reddit Insight today.
