Today,

Pinterest introduced Place Pins, a new feature that lets users build a Pinterest Board using a map. According to the announcement, Place Pins, “Combine the beautiful imagery of a travel magazine with the utility of a map online so you can share it with friends.”

Pinterest says Place Pins can be accessed on a smartphone and include location details like addresses and phone numbers for easy reference:

You can access them from anywhere on your smartphone, too, which means you can find new places on the go and even get directions.

To create a board using Place Pins, users must select the “Add a map” feature when starting a new board, or edit the settings to “Add a Map” for a previously created board. Once the “Add a Map” feature is selected, users can map all the Pins on a board.
