Nearly one year ago LinkedIn announced a new app that took a different route than other larger companies and was built around the mobile web. Well, a new LinkedIn app has been released that is built natively. The new all is designed for “the Everyday Professional,” and focuses in more closely on the LinkedIn stream.
One of the most noticeable changes is the design tweaks that feature large images and a streamlined layout. Thanks to the native build users can swipe sideways to view more information go back to the last location and even change customize the app to their own liking.
While the minimalistic design is sharp, the largest tweak has to be the increased attention on the LinkedIn stream. The updates are sharper, feature more content (like visible comments, job titles and more) and give users an easier option to interact with each update. According to LinkedIn the most important insights will also be delivered to users in the stream:
“We’re surfacing up the most relevant and timely professional insights in your stream so you can quickly discover and engage with all of the great professional conversations taking place across LinkedIn. This means an engaging, vibrant and visual stream with tailored updates, news, original posts from Influencers and much more.”
