LinkedIn Redesign To Display More Actionable Info To Help Trigger More Connections

linkedin-fabric-800

Next time you check into LinkedIn, you may see that the social network has received a visual promotion. A new, cleaner LinkedIn homepage is on the way that will come equipped with a variety of elements that will help users keep in touch.

The goal of the redesign is to allow users to “quickly manage and benefit from your experience on LinkedIn”, and the initial screenshots look fantastic.

LinkedIn-Top

The most noticeable change may well be located at the top of users’ profiles. Upon logging in, the LinkedIn user will see instant insights on what’s happened on their profile. Elements such as the number of users that have viewed their profile, ways to improve their profile  and post views will be listed front and center.

Keep-In-Touch

Not only will the new design keep users up to date on connections, but will also give suggestions on how they can further relationships. Instead of just an update the new design will show the number of ways that a user can keep in touch.

Lastly, the new design only cements LinkedIn’s dedication to Pulse. With a large chunk of real-estate directly under the top box, LinkedIn Pulse isn’t going to be going anywhere soon. Pulse will now be a bit more separated from your network feed thanks to a grey divider, but still has top billing on content as LinkedIn continues to push forward as a professional news source.

LinkedIn will “ramp the new homepage experience this week.” For more information see the official post from LinkedIn.
