Bitfinex has been a controversial trade for years already. They received hacked in 2019 dropping 120,000 BTC. Then they launched probably the most controversial crypto challenge ever: Tether. Recently they misplaced $850 million resulting from a seizure of their account at their fee supplier Crypto Capital and determined to launch a utility token “LEO” to cowl the loss.
Smart.
But is it value being attentive to?
