Google has updated its Chrome Android app for users in India and Indonesia experiencing slow load times, making it possible for pages to load without images when a low bandwidth is detected.
“There’s a new way to load pages more quickly with Chrome’s Data Saver,” reads the announcement on the Chrome Google+ page, “The Chrome Android app loads websites without the images first, saving you 70% data.”
While the launch is currently rolling out only in India and Indonesia, Google says it will roll out in more countries soon.
