Add another social media management platform to the list of Facebook topic data providers.

Today Falcon Social announced that it has partnered with DataSift to give clients the ability to tap into Facebook’s stream of conversation about events, brands, activities and other subjects to help inform marketing campaigns. Launched in March, the feature enables topic data to be served in an anonymous and aggregated form.

Facebook tapped DataSift to provide access to the data, and Nuvi, Pulsar, Synthesio, and now Falcon Social are among the first companies to set up integrations.

Falcon Social said its clients will now be able to use keyword queries to dig into what Facebook’s 1.49 billion users are talking about and filter data by demographics, volume, gender, sentiment and other variables.

“We’ve always aimed to give our customers the best features that add the most value to their marketing efforts,” Falcon Social founder and CEO Ulrik Bo Larsen said in a release, “and this partnership with DataSift really elevates the possibilities. It offers actionable insights into real behavior, sourced from the world’s largest social community. I think this will be a major game-changer for a lot of our customers and will enable them to channel their resources a lot more effectively.”

Postscript: A previous version of this article stated that Facebook topic data is limited to information from the US and UK. That was the case at launch but Datasift has since extended the feature and now offers topic data in 55 countries.
