Facebook Page managers rejoice; an updated Insights interface is coming your way. Facebook has announced updates to their Insights product that will show more information about your Facebook page. This change will show managers much more information from a broken out “People Talking About This” number to negative data and engagement stats.
One of the metrics that has folks scratching their heads for awhile now is the People Talking About This (PTAT) metric. The new Insights will break down this number into actionable stats. Users will now be able to see:
Page Likes
People Engaged (the number of unique people who have clicked on, liked, commented on, or shared your posts)
Page Tags & Mentions
Page Checkins
Other Interactions
For those that loved the single PTAT metric, have no fear, this will still be reported. Additionally, marketers will be able to see more info about their posts including:
Posts:
Likes
Comments
Shares
Photo Views
Link Clicks
Other Clicks
One of the more helpful new additions is the addition of the negatives. Now users will be able to see negative interactions, as well, to show what they shouldn’t be posting. This data will include:
Hide Posts
Report As Spam
Hide All Posts
Unlike Page
In addition to the enhanced data, a new and improved engagement metric is featured in this update. Instead of just age, gender, country, city and language, insights will now show detailed data on those that actually engaged with your page.
These updates are being rolled out starting today. When selected, admins will receive a notification in their Insights tool interface and will be invited to upgrade. For more info see the official Facebook post.
