Today, Buffer, a social publishing tool, and Mention, a social monitoring tool, are integrating with each other with the goal of adding value to each service. Before the integration, the two tools fulfilled two very important (yet different) social needs. Since inception Buffer has excelled at publishing and scheduling across a variety of social accounts. On the other hand Mention has helped brands listen to social conversation and monitor brand mentions. With this integration users will have access to both tools in one place.
Buffer users will now be able to see a stream directly in Buffer so they can listen to their audience, allowing for smarter publishing. Monitor integration will allow for Buffer scheduling from within Monitor apps. Mention’s CEO & Co-founder Edouard de la Jonquière, stated the following on the integration:
“The first step for us was to become the most powerful platform for everyone to get alerted when their name, their company or competitor’s name – or even broader subjects, are being mentioned on the web. The next natural step is to help them react and share these mentions. By integrating the best service to do this, Buffer, we’re pushing our platform forward.”
This integration will be quite beneficial for Buffer who has been building for the business space recently. Having the ability to monitor user mentions within Buffer should be immensely important for brands using Buffer for Business.
